Nwn2 porting kit stalls at end4/12/2023 What was up with all the kukri's? Are they expecting to sell lots of copies in Nepal? Probably ran into at least 4-5 unique kukris but only one longsword. But no, lots of greatswords, lots of maces, flails, other random stuff. I sort of assumed that longsword would be the standard weapon and the one most likely to have unique weapons. What pissed me off was I played through the entire game and found only one unique longsword. Yep, had a ton of special short swords and a few rapiers. IceBear wrote:Most of the really nice unique swords I've found have been short swords or rapiers NWN2 forum doesn't seem to have anyone else whose run into these problems. I wasted a ton of time, trying to bring more firepower to bear, to bring the king down. Expecting the player to notice the little white text floating from one of your characters in the midst of battle seems like a bit much, for something so critical. I did try to have one of my guys (without the sword of Gith) attack the portal, noticed it didn't do any damage, and just ignored the portal from there. Then, in the last battle, I didn't notice when Jerro tells you to use the sword on the portal.I tried attacking the statues, since that seemed the obvious way to bring down the wall, but that didn't work, so I just sat there. (He doesn't attack, once you've killed of all the critters on your side of the wall). After I killed the Balor, Black Garius sat on his side of the wall, I sat on mine, and we both stared at each other. I didn't realize the force walls were attackable. I also had trouble against Black Garius. Not sure why, but the first time I tried it nothing happened, and so I wandered far and wide trying to figure out what to do. Also I had problems trying to walk through the black teleporting clouds. The caster and the reavers were both legal targets. Specifically, I wasn't sure if it was a spell where I was supposed to target the caster (which is how some of them work) or the Shadow Reaver. First, I couldn't figure out how to use the scroll of true naming. I had trouble at several points trying to figure out what to do once I entered the shadow keep. I'm sure it will come back after a while, but the shadow fortress was extremely frustrating. Just before entering the shadow fortress, I was definitely on a "best game ever" high. Basically I found some of the ending parts very frustrating because I couldn't figure out what to do. I too found NWN2's ending a dissappointment, although for other reasons. For me, might even be better, since BG2 is a little too long for me - I've never managed to finish it - got up to the drow city tangled in a losing battle with a lich, never got past that point. Definitely agree with Desslock's best DnD/Obsidian/Black Isle game since BG2. ScubaV and Zurai, definitely agree with your assesment on this.
